Was left unintentionally by student in bookbag for the duration of the long weekend, and was found in its current shape on the following Tuesday morning. It is now an object of scientific research.....

Sock Monster
Do you have many socks without matches? Ever wonder what happens to the other sock that used to make up the "pair?" It's a common but not very well-known phenomenon known as the Sock Monster. The Sock Monster can be found in most laundromats and/or household drying units. It is a ruthless, sock-consuming entity that is dependent on sock-consumption for survival. However, it cannot digest a "pair" of socks, only one of a particular pair per drying cycle. That is why you always find only one sock missing.
Z Monster
There is also the Z Monster; which is the monster that causes inevitable sleep at the most inopportune times; such as while driving or during a very boring class. Casts a vicious sleep spell on victim, vigorously challenging its victim in keeping his/her/its eyes open.
